JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a highly skilled AWS-CDN Expert with at least 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing Content Delivery Network (CDN) solutions using AWS technologies, particularly Amazon CloudFront. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of edge computing, caching strategies, security configurations, and performance optimizations to enhance content delivery across global infrastructures.MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS CloudFront solutions to optimize web application performance and content delivery.
- Develop and implement caching strategies, edge location configurations, and origin request settings to enhance speed and efficiency.
- Integrate AWS WAF (Web Application Firewall), AWS Shield, and security best practices to protect against DDoS attacks and other threats.
- Optimize latency, availability, and cost-efficiency for content distribution across global AWS edge locations.
- Work with development and DevOps teams to integrate CloudFront with AWS S3, EC2, Lambda@Edge, and API Gateway.
- Monitor and analyze CloudFront logs, performance metrics, and request patterns to continuously improve delivery speeds and user experience.
- Automate CDN deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Troubleshoot latency issues, SSL/TLS configurations, and cache invalidations for high-traffic applications.
- Stay updated on the latest AWS networking and edge services to recommend innovative improvements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in CDN solutions, with a focus on AWS CloudFront and global content delivery strategies.
- Strong expertise in AWS networking services (Route 53, Global Accelerator, ELB).
- Proficiency in caching mechanisms, TTL settings, and cache invalidation techniques.
- Experience with AWS WAF, AWS Shield, IAM policies, and security hardening for content delivery.
- Knowledge of serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Lambda@Edge) for advanced request handling.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools.
- Familiarity with CDN monitoring, logging, and analytics tools (AWS CloudWatch, AWS Logs, or third-party tools like Datadog).
- Experience in optimizing video streaming, large file delivery, and real-time content distribution.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot CDN performance issues and latency bottlenecks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Nice to Have):
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty or Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional.
- Experience with multi-CDN strategies using providers like Akamai, Fastly, or Cloudflare.
- Understanding of WebRTC, HLS, DASH streaming protocols for media distribution.
